Glow in the dark warning tape is a flexible polyester laminated photoluminescent film coated with a permanent pressure sensitive acrylic adhesive and backed with an 8 mil paper backing. The photoluminescent pigment absorbs and stores energy from normal ambient light. The glow in the dark warning tape becomes instantly visible if it suddenly gets dark. These glow in the dark warning tapes are a non-electrical safety system that can be easily and inexpensively applied to walls, handrails, posts, around doorframes, and on stairs and baseboards. The tape glows in total darkness when exposed to artificial or natural light; fully recharges in 30 minutes. It glows brightest during the first 30 minutes after activation ceases, but will remain clearly visible to night-adapted eyes for over 8 hours in a completely dark room. The adhesive on glow in the dark warning tape has a dwell time of 24 hours.
